Department Details

This position is full time Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. No weekends or holidays.

We are a fast paced clinic. Our clinic sees 50 patients a day per provider. You will have a lot of responsibility. Each tech can see 14 patients a day. On the job training available.

You will get a lot of patient interaction and will be working 1:1 with the provider. Optical sets a retail goal and if we meet that goal in the month everyone would get a $25 gift card to varying locations.

Employees are allowed 2 free pairs of glasses per calendar year as long as performance standards are met.

Job Summary

Perform preliminary screening examinations and/or tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment by the provider. Assist the provider with procedures and care of the patient. Collect subjective and objective ophthalmic data from the patient or caregiver and communicates this to the doctor. Cross-training to support basic optical and/or access functions as needed.

Qualifications

High School graduate is preferred. Will provide training and education for required skills.

Previous health care experience or training in ophthalmology, optometry, and/or optical office preferred. Basic Life Support Certification required.
