Job Summary

Acts as a resource for the team and other Health Plan departments. Assists in monitoring workloads, preparing agenda items for bi-weekly team meetings, and consolidating the activities that support the collection, management, and reporting of other insurance coverage. Responsible for gathering member coordination of benefit information and making accurate determinations. Initiates contact with members, providers, and other insurance companies. Leads interactions with other departments including but not limited to: Claims, Enrollment, and IT. Possesses an understanding of coordination of benefits rules. Develops training materials and is responsible for training new Coordination of Benefits Representatives as assigned. Maintains workflows and training materials. Must be able to work independently, manage priorities, work in fast-paced environment and manage stress well. Able to analyze data with strong attention to detail. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Maintains accurate documentation of member/provider contact.


High school diploma or equivalent preferred with some college level course work preferred.

A minimum of one year of coordination of benefits experience with a Health Plan required. A minimum of one year of training experience preferred.
