If offered the role you would start at $15.00/hr.
Your first 3-4 days would be a general orientation and initial training. After that you would spend the next 3-4 weeks doing online learning at our facility in preparation for a skill class. Our skills class is held in New Hope and is 3 days long. After all your online training is complete and your skills classes done you would then be able to take the state CNA exam. Upon passing that you are a full CNA with Minnesota and your initial certificate is good for 2 years.
Overall from day 1 to your state exam is about 4-6 weeks depending on how fast of a learner you are.
All training is paid at the hourly rate and all CNA costs for training and a 1st exam are paid for by the location. We do ask that you stay employed with us for at least 1 year after training, $1.00/hr increase in pay after certification.

Provide resident centered personal care including bathroom assistance, washing, dressing/undressing, obtaining vital signs, and social support
Assist residents in transferring, repositioning and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
Deliver a positive dining experience and assist residents with meals, snacks and supplements
Document resident care and behavior
Handle and dispose of linens, soiled clothing or supplies properly
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.
When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor
vehicle report and proof of valid driver’s license. Also must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of
this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy per the leaders request.
