Job Summary

Performs tasks as specified by the care plan or service plan in client homes during a specified work period to improve their physical environment. Functions independently with minimal supervision.

Care provided includes housekeeping tasks and personal care.

Serves as an observer and reporter of client status and/or changes in status to leadership.

Thanks to the services available through Good Samaritan Society – Home Care, living at home is a viable option for seniors of all abilities. As a Homemaker you will assist our clients with basic duties such as cooking, cleaning and shopping making it easier for them to remain in their home.

We are seeking a Homemaker to join our great team full-time Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This schedule can vary based on client count and needs but will average 2-4 client visits daily.

As a valued employee you will be eligible for mileage and will be paid for time between client visits. This opportunity is also Sign-On bonus eligible!   • High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.

  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Strong oral and written communication, Proficient reading and math skills and knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and chemicals helpful.

  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant is preferred.

  • When applicable, valid drivers license and access to an insured vehicle required.
