Join a team of HR technology professionals committed to delivering reliable technology solutions and support to customers! This position will be responsible for oversight of all Workday and OnShift modules for Sanford Health and the Good Samaritan Society.

Job Summary

Responsible for and provide oversight of a functional area of the human resources (HR) enabling technologies team, focusing on areas within application and technology support as designated. Demonstrate expertise in the technology portfolio including functional maintenance of existing applications and new projects. High-level involvement in the implementation of new HR applications and integrations to meet changing enterprise needs. Uses project management skills to advance the mission and goal of the function, department and organization.

Responsible for implementing the mission, vision, policies, goals, and objectives of the organization and the HR department. Works with leadership to create and build the development of department strategies and operational objectives. Set obtainable goals within the staff encouraging championing of department objectives and strategies for specialized and designated technologies.

Communicates with external vendors and stakeholders throughout the enterprise in order to achieve Sanford goals and meet legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Develops, manages, designs, and delivers technology offerings including those available to outside constituents.

Prioritizes the development of offering various technology solutions throughout the enterprise. Participates in needs assessment to align programs to strategic priorities to the organization. Ensure the team anticipates and assesses data gathering, documentation, data validation, and testing be delegating to staff based on specialty and skill set.

Demonstrate leadership to employees, serving as a role model, and encouraging vision and change projects. Understand the critical components associated and required to achieve intended results and ability to assist in hiring, selection, retaining, and leveraging talent across the unit. Manage operations while serving as a resource for escalated and complex issues related to HR systems by investigating problems and developing resolution of issues.

Collaborate and provide feedback in measuring employee performance. Assist in the training of new staff members and the development of existing staff members. Practice positive collaboration and convert difficult interactions into productive ones.

Practice quality management methods, tools, and techniques. Create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization. Assist in data monitoring, reports and improvements. Establish and set a high quality standard to ensure continual process improvement. Consistently provide technical guidance to others in the use of new technologies, theories, concepts and techniques. Advanced knowledge; consistently serves as technical advisor to management.

Participate in budgetary responsibilities including resource planning, forecasting, and ongoing financial management of approved budget. Works with leadership to support the development of department strategies and operational objectives. Encourage support of staff with department objectives and strategies for specialized and designated technologies.

Assist with other projects or work assignments as needed by organization, department or leadership.


Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, education, computer science or related discipline required. Masters degree preferred.

Five years previous experience with HR Technology and case management systems, including implementing, supporting technology systems, learning management systems, and all other HR related systems required. Two years leadership/management experience required.
