Job Summary

Provides leadership and direction for the clinical and business operation of vascular lab, including general, adult, pediatric, and mobile services. Ensures tests and procedures are in accordance with the required and designated standards. Assists with development, interpretation, and application of department policies, budgets, and long-term range plans. Oversees the daily operations of the vascular sonography program. Establishes policies and procedures. Possesses strong decision-making skills. When necessary, able to take disciplinary action. Provides input into the preparation of the budget. Establishes and maintains a collaborative working relationship with physicians. Consistently projects a positive image of the institution when dealing with physicians, patients, and their family members as well as members of the community.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Minimum of five years of vascular sonography experience is required.

Registry with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.

When applicable, maintenance of a valid driver’s license and good driving record is required. Employees are held to the Sanford category driver's license policy and medical guidelines when applicable for job duties.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
