Department Details

This RN position will be in our Employee Health Department helping with new hires and existing employees processes.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays!

Scheduling is very flexible; with the ability to work five 8 hour shifts, or four 10 hour shifts.

Job Summary

Responsible to implement the core process of Sanford Employee Health to promote a safe and healthy workforce and environment. Ensure the delivery of quality healthcare and development of services according to the mission, vision and strategic goals of Sanford Health. Responsible to implement the nursing process within Sanford and the continuum of care. The nursing process is utilized to assess, diagnose, establish a plan with outcome criteria, intervene, evaluate, and document human responses to actual or potential health problems. This practice includes dependent, interdependent and independent functions. Responsible to triage employee injures and exposures to assess the need for initial and ongoing medical treatment. Works collaboratively with regional and network contacts regarding onboarding services as well as multiple departments and leaderships. Responsible for professional, technical and operational expertise related to the employee program offered through Sanford Employee Health


Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

Experience in Employee Health/Occupational Health preferred. Must have good physical assessment skills and be a self-starter with excellent time management.

Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being treated. Functions within the legal scope of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred as soon as eligible.
