Job Summary

Provides leadership and direction for the clinical and business operation of Radiation Therapy for Sanford. Provides consultation to physicians in the application of physics to externally delivered ionizing radiation or internally implanted radioactive sources. Possesses a thorough knowledge of medical and radiological physics, mathematics, radiation biology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, computer science, and electronics.


Master’s degree in Physics, Medical Physics, Biophysics, or Radiological Physics, with specialized training in Radiation Therapy Physics is required.

Minimum of two years’ experience working in a radiation oncology department with responsibilities in radiation therapy physics including machine calibration and quality assurance, dosimetry, treatment planning, brachytherapy, and patient simulation.

Board certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Board of Medical Physics in Therapeutic Physics, Therapeutic Medical Physics, or Therapeutic Radiologic Physics is required.
