Job Summary

Leads and supports the sales and retention team in developing and executing growth and retention strategies across all core product lines, including Individual ACA, Employer Group, Medicare Advantage, and TPA/Self-Funded plans. Builds strategic and long-term relationships with brokers, consultants, clients, and system market leaders to drive enrollment, maximize retention, and enhance the customer experience. Elevates the organization’s visibility, value proposition, and market presence while identifying new opportunities for sustainable growth across diverse markets. Responsible for oversight and leadership of the sales and retention team, focusing on efficient internal operational workflows and sales targets to ensure departmental goals are met. Drives innovation with a continual focus on seeking better ways to serve our consultants, brokers, clients and members to the highest level. Builds and maintains strong, effective relationships with agency leaders, clients, internal and external colleagues within the organization to continue to push the Health Plan forward. Coaches colleagues to solve problems, grow and set high standards and challenges within the department. Strengthens strategic partnerships to advance sustainability and growth while distinguishing the organization as a leader within the organization's footprint. Serves as a source of market intelligence for product development, marketing and sales efforts. Demonstrates passion for prospecting new business opportunities and keeping retention metrics high year-over-year. Acts as a positive representative of the Health Plan to the community and stakeholders. A strong focus on mentorship working alongside Account Executives and Market Development Partners in the field, helping to cultivate the expectations and value-added propositionthe Health Plan offers to prospects, clients, members and brokers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Public Relations or Business required.

Ten years of proven experience in sales, service or account management experience in health insurance industry, with multi-line product knowledge (ACA, Group, Medicare, TPA). Demonstrated success in both new business growth and member/broker retention strategies. Strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams. Excellent broker and client relationship-building expertise.

Health insurance license required within 3 months of hire date. Understanding of CMS compliance regulations and ACA marketplace dynamics preferred.
