Senior Career Development Consultant (CPCC, MS & BA)

Jack West is a Senior Career Development Consultant with Sanford and the Good Samaritan Society. As a career center team member, he aims to provide career coaching opportunities to volunteers, students and employees who need assistance along their journey in the work place. He strongly believes that career coaching can be helpful at every point of someone's professional pathway.

From a young age, Jack played soccer at the elite youth level, both for clubs and internationally. He continued his sporting journey after high school, playing professional soccer in the United Kingdom for several years. After his playing career, Jack turned towards education, earning his B.S. and a M.S. degree from the University of Mary. After college, he has employment experience as an executive director of a youth sports non-profit organization, assistant coach of a men’s university soccer program, head varsity coach of a boys’ and girls’ soccer program and a business developer and head of sales of a sports travel organization.

Having employment history in a variety of industries and positions has given Jack the opportunity to learn, develop and succeed in the workplace. Jack has success stories in recruitment, employee retention, job satisfaction, employee education, business development, marketing, social media campaigns, technology development, website/brand building and much more.

Jack is a great listener who loves to build relationships both professionally and personally. He believes employees who are lifted up, engaged and truly motivated add great value to themselves, their team, and their organization. Jack believes it is his purpose in life to help others grow and become the best version of themselves they can be.

As a career and soccer coach, Jack has assisted many high school students in their pursuit of attending college and playing collegiate soccer. He has assisted them with goal setting for the future, building athletic profiles/resumes, athletic training/game video footage, searching for colleges, communication with coaches, social media presence and potential areas of study. Furthermore, Jack has assisted current college students in their pursuit of professional employment. He has assisted them with resume building, cover letters, thank you letters, goal setting, career searches, social media presence and interview techniques/skills.

Jack holds a B.S degree and M.S degree in business from the University of Mary. He also holds U.S. Soccer F, E, D & C licenses and is a certified NDHSAA head soccer coach for his additional coaching employment.
